Don’t miss these major upcoming tennis tournaments

The Australian Open may be over for the tennis calendar year of 2026, but there are still so many tennis tournaments happening throughout February and March.

Key tennis tournaments for February 2026 include majors in both the ATP and the WTA. Both the ATP and the WTA consistently feature top-tier  talent, bridging the gap between the Australian Open and the major spring hard-court tournaments in the Northern Hemisphere.

The tennis calendar is still on hard-court and a start on the clay-court tournaments, and these include;

  • ATP 500 Qatar Open (Doha): Happening from February 16–21 (Hard).
  • ATP 500 Rio Open (Rio de Janeiro): February 16–22, which is a clay court event
  • ATP 250 Argentina Open (Buenos Aires): February 9–15 (Clay).
  • ATP 500 Abierto Mexicano Telcel (Acapulco): Feb 23–28, a hard court tournament.

In February, the WTA Tour shifts to the Middle East and European indoor swing, featuring top-tier events such as: 

  • Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open: A WTA 500 event that is already in full swing, Feb
  • L&T Mumbai Open: February 2–8, a hard-court event right at the heart of Mumbai, India.
  • Transylvania Open: A WTA 250-level event happening from the 2-8 of February in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
  • Qatar TotalEnergies Open (WTA 1000): From February 9-15, a hard-court event in Doha, Qatar.

One of the big, long-awaited 1000 tournaments for both the ATP and the WTA is the BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells) tennis tournament, which takes place from March 1 to March 15, 2026, at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California, United States.
