Just days after the country witnessed the crowning of a new Miss South Africa, the pageantry community has another opportunity to celebrate.
This week, Miss South Africa 2023 winner Natasha Joubert and her husband, Enrico Vermaak, announced that they are pregnant with their first baby.
The 28-year-old recently took to Instagram, sharing the news with her loyal followers by posting a beautiful video showcasing her baby bump with the sun setting in the background.
“The last 5 months… we’ve been keeping the sweetest secret.”

The couple has been together for 10 years now after having first started dating during their teens. Last month, she shared a post reflecting how their love story began, writing:
“10 Years ago, my husband asked me to be his girlfriend. We were at his grandmother’s house, and Enrico said he had to give her garden water. A while later, I wondered what was taking so long and walked out. There was a little picnic, KFC, Fanta Orange, and since that day, inseparable. I love you!”
In March this year, the two officially said their “I dos” in front of friends and family members at the beautiful Cavalli Estate in Cape Town, and have not looked back.
