Pollards welcome new addition to their family

by Sergio Miller

Handre and Marise Pollard have now become parents for a second time.

After welcoming their baby Hunter in April 2024, the loving pair have spent the last nine months anticipating the arrival of their newborn daughter.

Taking to Instagram, the couple revealed that Marise has officially given birth to their latest addition. In the video, which is accompanied by the song Heaven is a Place on Earth, they wrote:

“And just like that our world has changed again. Isabella Tanya Pollard, you are so loved x.”

The couple announced the news of their pregnancy earlier this year, just days after celebrating the first birthday of their eldest child, Hunter.

“Our family is growing! Hunter is going to be a big brother, and we are beyond excited; God is so good. Our little girl will join us end of October,” they wrote at the time.

The two have also since relocated back to South Africa after spending 6 years living in Europe to pursue Handre’s rugby ambitions. The couple hinted that the main reason for their return was to be closer to family.

Meanwhile, Handre is not the only Springbok to become a dad for the second time. Lock Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia are also expecting.

The renowned rugby player and now author of the autobiography Unlocked previously spoke about what having published his own book meant to him. He added that it creates the ideal opportunity for his children to experience a glimpse of what it took for him to reach success in his career.
