Tbo Touch relocates to Australia to propel career

by Sergio Miller

Renowned DJ Tbo Touch has opened up about his decision to propel his career in Australia.

The prominent radio presenter, whose real name is Thabo Molefe, has always been transparent about what it was like parenting his children living on an entirely different continent. In June this year, the father of two, Ruri and Suri, revealed that he often found himself travelling to Australia every fourth or fifth week.

Despite this, he admitted that he enjoyed every moment of fatherhood, so much so that he has now decided to make the country his permanent home, not just for the sake of family, but also for his career.

In a recent appearance on The Shady PHodcast, he shared that before making his move official, he often found himself doubtful.

“Before the move, people were advising us, ‘You should stay here, it’s safe, it’s affordable, ’ but I’m like, ‘When I wake up to have breakfast down the road, what are the chances of me meeting somebody who’s instrumental to propel me to my next bigger deal?’” he explained.

While his recent relocation was heavily motivated by his career, a good quality of life was another factor that influenced the transition.

“What quality of conversations am I having in this district? What are you guys complaining about? I don’t want to go to a place where there are service delivery issues. I didn’t sign up for that,” he explained.
