After Glen Gabela’s poor living conditions were revealed, Mzansi responded to the call for donations to support the legendary actor.

Glen, who is known for his iconic roles on Shaka, Uzalo, Yizo Yizo and many others, shared his gratitude to Mzansi for heeding the call.

In a video clip shared by Thuli Gambushe, who also headed the donation process on TikTok, the actor said: “Thank you so much for all you have done for me. You know what was the state of my situation. Thank you for your support and small contributions which have become big. Here’s the bed that came from the contributions you made. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

TikTok users weighed in:

“Thuli, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible efforts. May you be blessed abundantly, and may your endeavors bear fruit beyond measure. I genuinely wish that everything you touch multiplies tenfold.”

Another one added: “Ungasabi Thayma noma inini (any time).”

While another one said:”Yoh this man looks like my late dad. Watching this video made me even cry.”

This generous gesture comes after a video of him in tears went viral on social media platforms. The video displayed a dusty bedroom with his accolades, a mouldy fridge filled with bottles of water and his almost empty cupboard.
