Married At First Sight star Zithobile Sibaya recently shared more about her marriage with Thami Nyandeni, and what led to their divorce.

This comes shortly after Thami had a chat with podcaster, Lungelo KM on his podcast, Engineer Your Life.

Zithobile was paired with Thami on the Mzansi Magic reality show, where a group of singles agree to marry partners chosen for them by a team of relationship experts. Looking forward to a perfect match, they meet their partners for the first time on their wedding day.

While chatting with Lungelo about her TV marriage, Zithobile shared that it was not love at first sight for her, but she trusted the experts who paired them.

“My first thought was, oh, he is light skinned. This is not what I asked for. When I looked at my family, they were all smiles and happiness. As I walked towards him, I noticed a white jacket – I didn’t like that. When I stood in front of him, I realised it’s not what I asked for but we are here,” said Zithobile.

She described the first day after their marriage as a disaster. After they were done shooting for the day, Thami asked her to go with him to visit his friends.

During the visit, there was a lot of alcohol and she noted how Thami overindulged on alcohol with his friends. She also noticed that his personality changed when he was with his friends, he became more flamboyant, and that was the first red flag for her.

Having parted ways, the educator revealed that Thami still uses her name and their marriage for clout. She mentioned that Thami recorded a song that had her name for his divorce party. She has pleaded with him to stop talking about her and her family.

“Leave me alone, leave my family alone – stop mentioning my name, stop. You and I, it’s over. Move on with your life, look for clout elsewhere. Make music (he loves music) sing about something else,” she pleaded.
