After the gruesome murder of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa, Mzansi is still trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together in hopes to figure out who the culprit is.

Senzo passed away in 2014, and his murder trial is still underway. The soccer star, who was 27 at the time, was reportedly shot during a house burglary in Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus.

However, Advocate Malesela Teffo who represented some of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial before he was disbarred, shares different views. He alleged that Senzo wasn’t killed in a robbery, but was shot by mistake by his then lover; Kelly Khumalo in the middle of a heated argument at her home.

He recently visited Podcast and Chill and the episode left many reeling from shock after his revelations.

During his interview, he detailed his view of what happened on the night when the Bafana Bafana captain died. He said the gun was allegedly brought to the house by Longwe Twala, who suspected Senzo was having an affair with Kelly’s sister, Zandile Khumalo.

He alleged that a fight then broke out, and in the chaos, Kelly accidentally pulled the trigger while handing the gun back to Senzo.

“It was a fatal mistake,” he told MacG.

“Kelly Khumalo shot and killed Senzo instantly,” alleged Malesela.

He also said that Longwe who was allegedly high and drunk, fired a shot into the floor before being overpowered and kicked out by Senzo.

“The shot caused injuries from the bullet shell. Once Longwe was out, Senzo went back inside – and that’s when he was shot”.

The disbarred lawyer further stated that he has a prison affidavit from Longwe backing his claims: “It was a fatal mistake, Kelly Khumalo shot and killed Senzo instantly.”

Naturally, the episode turned the internet into a frenzy, as many were gobsmacked by what he shared.

X (formerly Twitter) users took to the platform to share their views:

Adv Teffo says about 11 people have died because of the Senzo Meyiwa case and even he is now in the line of danger. “I won’t die. If they want me dead, they must ask God first.” He broke down in tears, revealing his father died while he was arrested for this case. 😢 pic.twitter.com/K6wOhA4eRu

Adv Teffo Allegedly, the firearm used to shoot Senzo Meyiwa is illegal to Chicco, but actually belongs to Chicco’s half-brother — Adv Baloyi, who is actively working on the case. The same is said about Tshepo’s death. No guys, this is too much! 💔🕯️🇿🇦 #PodcastAndChill MacG pic.twitter.com/ubblmWAD0H
