SA gives Zolisa Xaluva’s Thebe Magugu outfit a resounding nope

by Silindokuhle Booi

Zolisa Xaluva, the talented South African actor known for his impressive performances in popular shows like Generations, Gomora, Kings of Jo’Burg, and The Queenstown Kings, has been embroiled in controversy after being dragged for his recent outfit.

A picture of the actor wearing a pink and black ensemble designed by renowned South African fashion designer Thebe Magugu was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by entertainment blogger Musa Khawula.

Thebe Magugu is a celebrated figure in the South African fashion industry, known for his classic designs that have captivated fashion enthusiasts. He has collaborated with several notable celebrities, including Priddy Ugly, Dr John Kani, Thuli Madonsela, Ama Qamata, Boity Thulo, and Nomzamo Mbatha. Thebe’s work with South African power couple Nandi Madida and Zakes Bantwini was also well-received, with the duo sharing stunning pictures of their collection on social media.

However, Zolisa’s latest look didn’t quite live up to expectations. Fans were quick to share their reactions, with many expressing disappointment and criticising the outfit for not being flattering.

Despite the backlash, social media users couldn’t help but acknowledge Zolisa’s undeniable charm and good looks, with many still considering him one of the most handsome actors in South Africa.

The incident serves as a reminder that even the most stylish celebrities can have fashion mishaps, and that opinions about fashion are always subjective. Nevertheless, Zolisa’s fans will likely continue to support him, both on and off the screen.
