BET Award winner Makhadzi will soon have the chance to extend her list of accolades after being nominated for yet another prestigious award.
The Limpopo-based singer was recently announced as one of the nominees that will be in the running to win another Basadi in Music Award.
The event, which first launched in 2022, is a proudly South African Award ceremony that aims to honour and celebrate women having an impact on the local music industry. It furthermore aims to shine a light on females on various levels, from artists, producers, as well as supporting background staff, for their valuable contributions to the arts and entertainment industry.
This is not the first time the singer has received high honours at the star-studded event. Last year, the Energy hitmaker stole the show when she walked away with both the Dance Artist of the Year and International Achievement Award.
After receiving the award, she expressed gratitude after reflecting on the journey it had taken her to reach that point.
“When I started in the streets, they called me crazy. I now have BET Awards and Basadi in Music Awards,” she said in an interview.

Meanwhile, this year, she will return after being nominated in two categories, Sofnfree Song of the Year, and Dance Artist of the Year.
This year, the event will return to the Joburg Theatre for a two-night celebration on the 1st and 2nd August 2025.
Night one will be an exclusive, invite-only awards evening known as the Vanguard Awards that will honour the unsung heroes of music and radio. While night two will be the main awards evening, which will be open to the public.
