After 13 years of captivating listeners with her soulful voice and unique conversations, the radio presenter Selbeyonce has officially announced her departure from Ukhozi FM.

The on-air presence, real name Selby Mkhize, graced the radio frequencies last time on Wednesday before finally deciding to hang up her microphone and described it as one of the most difficult decisions she has had to make.

Selby boasts an impressive resume.  After first having joined the station in 2012, she soon became a force to be reckoned with, scooping tons of awards and nominations throughout her tenure. Some of the more prominent ones included Best Afternoon Drive Presenter and a Best Radio Personality award.

Taking to Instagram, Selby shared a gallery of pictures showcasing some of her most treasured memories during her time at Ukhozi FM.

“The time has come for me to say goodbye to the mighty UkhoziFM. What an amazing 13 years it has been. Jehova, I don’t even know what to say or where to start. God, I thank you for the talent you have given me, and I never take it for granted.

“Thank you, lord, for the best job in the world. The opportunities you have granted me, the people I have met and worked with, the lives I have touched. Nkosi Ngiyabonga.”

While it remains unknown what her next move will be, according to Daily Sun, sources have revealed that she will soon be joining Gagasi FM as the new afternoon drive presenter.
