The Mommy Club star Nozipho Ntshangase’s husband of over 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, has officially taken a second wife, 25-year-old Misokuhle Nomsheshe, according to reports.

In a March 2024 statement, Zola confirmed ongoing lobola negotiations and condemned the social media backlash Misokuhle faced, calling it abusive and unfair.

“I have noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife, Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to unfair treatment characterised by abuse and stigmatisation,” The Citizen quoted him as saying at the time.

The couple recently held a traditional wedding ceremony, with Misokuhle sharing images from the event online.

The marriage has sparked public debate, especially among fans of The Mommy Club, who recalled a heartfelt episode where Nozipho emotionally expressed how the decision to take a second wife had caused her and their children pain.

She described the change as sudden and unfair, given the life and future she had envisioned with Zola.

“You spend 17 years building with someone, you spend your whole life not having to worry if someone will be there for birthdays and Christmases. You spend the rest of your life planning that when we are both 50 years old, we are going to do this and that — and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the plan changes,” Nozipho said, her voice breaking with emotion.
