Apologising and acknowledging your flaws is one of the most important virtues. However, the sincerity of the apology is only known by the one who expressed it.

South African amapiano artist, Mpho Lebajoa, popularly known as Scotts Maphuma, recently learnt the importance of this admirable trait. The Wishi Wishi hitmaker offended his fans with his comments that reeked stinky attitude, where he said that he needed space and he is not forced to take pictures with people.

His supporters took offence and threatened to boycott his events, which led to Vogue Lounge recently cancelling his act. Prominent figures such as DJ Maphorisa and Oskido guided Scotts to the right, and eventually he apologised.

However, the internet is still divided, with some forgiving him and acknowledging that he made a mistake. While others found the apology fake and not sincere enough for them to forgive.

X  (formerly Twitter) users weighed in.

One day, he will write a full page, soaked in tears, asking for apologies from the fans. At the time he will be suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts, times when he won’t be able to afford mere free minutes to locate his friends. We’ll be there. pic.twitter.com/15zQwXwFzk

Maphorisa gave Scotts Maphuma an opportunity to make a public apology to his supporters and that imbecile chose to take it as a platform to crack lame jokes and mock his supporters. Bhari ke bhari 😂😂😂
