SA will humble you, Scotts Maphuma apologises for stinky attitude

by Silindokuhle Booi

Scotts Maphuma, a singer and dancer, has taken to Instagram Live to apologise to his fans after a series of incidents that led to widespread criticism.

The 29-year-old artist had been trending for his seemingly dismissive behavior towards fans, often brushing them off when asked for pictures or autographs. In several TikTok videos, he was seen making excuses to avoid interacting with his fans, which many perceived as rude and ungrateful.

However, during a live session with music producer DJ Maphorisa, Scotts was reminded of the backlash he had been facing, and he took the opportunity to issue a sincere apology.

“To those who are angry with me, I’m sorry. It is a misunderstanding. It doesn’t make sense for Scotts to have an attitude. Peace, maGents,” he said, acknowledging that his behaviour may have offended some of his fans.

The apology comes after he faced intense criticism online, with many fans expressing disappointment and hurt over his behavior. In a previous Instagram rant, Scotts had complained about the pressures of being a celebrity, feeling like he couldn’t live a normal life due to the constant demands of his fans. He had even dared his fans to “cancel” him, saying that maybe then he would be free from their expectations.

During an interview with L-Tido, he had also stated that he didn’t owe anyone anything, as he believed that nobody had made him famous. However, it seems that the criticism had taken a toll on him, and he has now chosen to humble himself and apologise to his fans.

The video of his apology has been making the rounds online, with many fans responding positively to his gesture.
