Four years after his death, veteran media personality Connie Ferguson has taken to her social media to wish her late husband, Shona Ferguson, a happy 51st heavenly birthday.

July 2021 was a tragic time for South Africa’s entertainment industry, as news of Shona Ferguson’s tragic and unexpected passing broke. According to family members, the media mogul put up the fight of his life for about 33 days before succumbing to COVID-19-related complications.

Since then, Connie, as well as the rest of his family and his loved ones, have honoured Shona’s memory in various ways, as he was one of mzansi’s most loved actors in the country. Recently, his widow, the equally legendary Connie Ferguson, took to her Instagram to wish the late actor a happy heavenly birthday.

” My KING? would have been 51 today!?…. Happy Heavenly Birthday MY SKAT.???? Conversations about you always end up in laughter! You gave us such a good happy life! Thank you for the beautiful memories! They’ve really kept us going even in the most challenging circumstances. I LOVE YOU FOR ETERNITY,” her caption reads.

Connie and Shona shared a relationship and marriage that many South Africans looked up to and admired, as the pool for positive and inspirational celebrity couples has proven to be quite small. Connie has made it a tradition to honour and remember her late husband on significant days, such as irthdays and the anniversary of his death.

Connie has also focused on reinventing her image and lifestyle, as well as navigating the world without the love of her life by her side.
