
The late comedian and actor Ebenhaezer Dibakwane will make his debut on the third season of Etv’s Isitha: The Enemy which is set to premier on the 28th of April.
Ebenhaezer played the character of Tiga a menace that was first introduced on season 2 through Zandile’s phone calls who is played by Nobandile Gwebu. His face will be revealed on the third season when he goes ahead with his deadly plans to destroy the Ngwenya’s.
“We honour the late Ebenhaezer Dibakwane, whose extraordinary talent and unforgettable presence left an indelible mark in Isitha: The Enemy. His untimely passing was a profound loss. He is deeply missed,” the channel said in a statement.
The comedian who died by suicide at the tender age of 31, had portrayed acting roles on Ashes to Ashes, Thuli no Thulani and Miseducation. City Press reported that Ebenhaezer’s friends say he was excited and proud to finally work with well-known producer and founder of Black Brain Pictures, Mandla Ngcongwane who is popular as Mandla N.
His role will later be taken over by Thabo Mkhabela renowned for his role of Leshole Mabitsela on Skeem Saam. Other new characters who will join the series are Thokozani Sithole, Gcinile Nkosi, Ayabonga Langa and Mondli Makhoba, they will be joining Linda Sebezo, Senzo Radebe, Thobani Dlomo-Nzuza and Sibongiseni Tenza.
Speaking to Soweto Live about his new character, Thabo said: “I’m happy for any opportunity, even if I’d be asked back to Skeem Saam I would, as long as I get to tell my story, and I will try to give it my all. Remember, Leshole didn’t exit from Skeem Saam: according to his storyline, he is working in Cape Town, so you never know.
