Lasizwe reveals why his friendship with Natahsa Thahane collapsed

by Sergio Miller

Media personality Lasizwe Dambuza has finally opened up on where things went south with his friendship with Blood & Water actress Natasha Thahane.

To the public, they seemed inseparable, but the Fake It Till You Make It reality star has recently revealed that there was much more than what meets the eye.

The year 2025 saw the comeback of Lasizwe’s much-loved YouTube show Drink or Tell the Truth. Here the vibrant media personality can be seen engaging in some deep and intermate discussions on some of the most moving topics concerning his life – if he refuses, that simply means that he would have to take a drink.

However, knowing him, this is not something that happens too often.

In a recent episode, Lasizwe opened up about his friendship with the actress and explained why they decided to part ways – highlighting that the amount of effort when it comes to their relationship was not being reciprocated.

“I used to attend Natasha Thahane’s events whenever she invited me at the time. I would also invite her to my events, but she never showed up. I thought, ‘I’m inviting you to my events, and you don’t come, but when you invite me, I show up and bring the energy.’ So I decided, ‘Fine, you can keep the friendship.” he explained.

He further emphasised that this did not necessarily mean that they were on bad terms, but that he merely wanted the same amount of support that he was giving her.

“We’re still okay whenever I bump into her. For me, it’s all about reciprocity. If you’re my friend, there has to be a mutual effort,” he explained.
