Former EFF member Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has now traded his corporate life in South African politics in exchange for the radio microphone.

Gone are the days of seeing Mbuyiseni Ndlozi getting involved in fiery political debates in efforts to hold the government accountable for their mistakes and promises, this comes as the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) former Member of Parliament has decided to make a career shift to radio after being welcomed as the brand-new radio presenter of Power FM.

In a statement, the radio station revealed that the former politician is well respected for his time in the parliament and will be able to use this to his full advantage by engaging in thought-provoking conversations that will challenge the listeners but also change the face of social commentary in South Africa.

Speaking to the station, Mbuyiseni highlighted that radio is a powerful medium for challenging norms and sparking meaningful discourse.

“I’m excited to take on this role at Power 98.7, and to ensure there is a vibrant platform for listeners to be engaged, challenged, and empowered – and to articulate their own views on the state of our nation and our world.”

Meanwhile, he later added that he felt that he had served his purpose in politics and felt that it was time to move on.

In a video shared in the buildup to his on-air debut, he can be seen rehearsing in studios while informing listeners what to expect from his show.

“We are going to speak — and we are going to speak hard. We are going to talk with each other. We are going to find each other. We are going to be a better community because we are going to prioritise a better argument,” he said.
