Former Miss South Africa, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni recently found herself beaming with delight after her husband, Dr Musa Mthombeni and a few of her closest friends arranged a surprise lunch to celebrate a special achievement.

While the former beauty pageant title holder was very discrete when it came to disclosing what the celebration was about, she later hinted that it meant the world to have them present.

On the caption of her post, she revealed that she thought she was going out with her husband for a monthiversary lunch, and it turned out he was in on the surprise.

“My cuties came through to celebrate me for something so exciting and special and trust me when I say we had the best day,” she enthusiastically shared on her Instagram page.

Liesl also shared her appreciation to her friends, as they have always been on her side whenever she needs them. “Having people in your life that show up for you without you even asking is something I have been blessed with and I do not take for granted.”

In the conclusion of her caption, she showed gratitude to the friends who celebrated with her and those who were not able to attend the surprise. “Thank you to each and everyone of my girlies present and absent- you are loved and appreciated. You guys are so romantic shame,” she penned.

Attached to the post, were multiple pictures of Liesl and her loved ones which proudly showcased the day’s affairs.
