Sad news for those excited about attending the eagerly anticipated concert of American singer Keyshia Cole.

The 43-year-old Trust and Believe hitmaker had announced to call off her three-city tour to South Africa which was scheduled to take place in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria from the 24th to the 26th of January.

This news comes following the horrific wildfire which destroyed the homes of many in Los Angeles, California in recent weeks.

In a statement, the organiser of the event confirmed that the singer was directly impacted by the devastating disaster which has now resulted in the loss of her home as well.

“Together with her team, we have been working tirelessly to assess the situation, and in light of these unexpected and heartbreaking events, the difficult decision was made to call off the tour.

“The decision regarding a way forward will be finalised as soon as possible, and further details will be shared with fans by the end of next week,” it read.

“The well-being of the artist and her family are of the utmost importance during this difficult time.”

Meanwhile, those who have purchased tickets will receive communication within the progression of the week on what the next steps will be.

This is, however, not the first time the singer has had to postpone her show in South Africa. The concerts were originally supposed to have taken place in September 2024, but the event was postponed to January due to unforeseen circumstances.
