On today’s episode of news you did not expect to hear, rugby legend and former Springboks coach Peter de Villiers joins the trend by jumping ship from Patricia de Lill’s GOOD Party to Jacob Zuma’s popular Mkhonto Wesizwe (MKP).

The past year has been quite eventful for the Springbok legend as per IOL, he faced several challenges in his career, leading to his release from Patricia de Lille’s GOOD party after allegations of sexual misconduct were filed against him. According to the publication, THe National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirmed that Peter was officially criminally charged with two counts of sexual assault and crime injuria.

To add salt to the wound, Peter was also let go from his responsibilities as a member of the Western Cape’s provincial legislature, confirming that his political career was indeed rocky with no clear way forward.

Coming to his rescue is the man who has been collecting public figures similar to how the supervillain Thanos collects his infinity stones. It appears that Msholozi has handed Peter an opportunity to revive his career and pull off something similar to what he did with the Springboks during his time as coach from 2008 to 2011. Peter has officially joined Zuma’s political machine as a member.

Upon stumbling on this news, the public appears to be confused by this move and has concluded that birds of a feather really do flock together, as they cite former President Jacob Zuma’s rape allegations. Furthermore, these users have not taken the news well, expressing that they believe that Zuma has made a grave mistake by having Peter on board.
