Julius Malema confirms he and Mbuyiseni are no longer friends

‘When it rains, it pours’ is a sentiment that a lot of EFF supporters can relate to as official news of Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and the party’s leader and commander in chief (CIC) Julius Malema’s break up has been announced.

Speculations of this being the season of the beginning of the end for Julius and his red berets have been floating around since the departure of several notable names, including founding member Floyd Shivambu, Mzwanele Manyi and Busisiswe Mkhwebane, who unexpectedly jumped ship to Jacob Zuma’s  Mkhonto Wesizwe Party (MKP) towards the end of 2024.

A few incidents later followed, such as Mbuyiseni not attending the National People’s Assembly (NPA) which took place this past December. This further perpetuated the narrative that there was indeed trouble in EFF paradise, causing the public and its members to speculate about what is to come next, which, many believe is the people’s base Dr Ndlozi’s official departure from the party.

It appears this reality might be getting closer to being true than Juju would like to admit as Mbuyiseni recently handed in his resignation as an EFF MP, thus downgrading to becoming just another regular member. Many still had hoped that despite some turbulence with their professional relationship, their personal relationship would stand the test of time as the pair are known to go way back with each other.

During an interview with eNCA’s JJ Tabane, the CIC clarified that his personal relationship ended a while back, revealing that even the Dr’s resignation as MP took him by surprise, as did his absence from the highly anticipated NPA.

“I’m not responsible for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, I am not his father,” says Julius. Continuing, he says ” It ended that time,” the CIC says when asked about his relationship with Dr Nldozi.
