As the country’s matric class of 2024 entered this week with mixed emotions while they awaited the outcome of their fate – the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, found himself over the moon.

Known for a straightforward and stubborn approach when it comes to matters revolving around politics, many might view the politician as a stubborn person, but behind all of the on-screen theatrics, it appears that he is nothing more than a loving family man who strives to see his loved ones excel.

The 43-year-old was one of thousands of parents who expressed a sigh of relief today. This comes after one of his firstborn, and eldest sons Mushavi Ratanang managed to end his high school journey with an excellent pass.

While this might have been the perfect reward for the work he put in throughout the year, there was no one prouder than his politician father.

Taking to his Instagram story, Julius was the first to share the news with his followers.

In a post which contains a picture of the successful matriculant, he captioned the post, “Look at this excellent bachelor’s pass!”

“We are right in the thick of things, we are not sleeping tonight. Congratulations my boy, Tshipi ya Bokgalaka!”

In celebration of his son’s 18th birthday last year, Julius took to his Instagram page to share a touching message to Mushavi, urging him to remain the respectful person he has been raised to be while offering valuable advice for the future.

“You’ve always been such a well-behaved and respectful kid, and I know that won’t change.”

“You’re my inspiration, along with your brothers and Mmago the boys. Keep up the discipline and respect and always greet everyone in the room regardless of age or social standing.”

Thereafter he wished him well with his final examinations.
