Unathi Nkayi mourns the death of her father

Media personality, Unathi Nkayi has recently revealed that her father, Sakhiwo M Nkayi has passed away.

The We Thembisile singer recently took to her Instagram page to share the gut-wrenching news, captioning her post shared with pictures that depicts memories shared by her parents: “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved father- Sakhiwo M Nkayi. A true treasure to us all, a great father, beloved friend and uncle to many. He now joins the lineage at their final resting place. We appreciate your love and support during this tough time.”

Messages of condolences started pouring on the comment section from Instagram users and industry colleagues.

Actress, Masasa Mbangeni said: “My condolences my beloved on this loss. Uxolo sthandwa sam (I’m sorry my love).”

Actor and presenter, Siphesihle Vazi said: “Condolences to you your family.”

Instagram user said: “I was watching him the other day on her story, he was so eloquent, and my mom and I were complimenting his good looks. My condolences to you and your family. May the Lord comfort you and your family.”

Recently, Minister of Sports and Arts & Culture Gayton McKenzie said beautiful words to Unathi at the brunch which was hosted by the South African Ministry. This follows the disputes between Sizwe Dhlomo and Unathi at her former workplace, Kaya FM.

Minister assured Unathi that he will do anything in his power to ensure that she blossoms in the industry.
