Legendary actor, Luthuli Dlamini has recently debunked the reports that stated that he is homeless and lives in an abandoned drug den in Randburg due to lack of income.

The rumours led to a widespread concern among fans and industry colleagues with many offering him a place to stay.

Recently the Zimbabwe-born actor known for his famous American accent and roles he portrayed on Generations, Coconuts, Scandal and Mandela’s Gun to name a few; took to his Instagram page to share a clip of him addressing the reports.

In the clip where he can be seen hand-washing clothes from a bathtub and a washing line full of clothes behind him, he said: “First, I thank everyone who has shown support for me, everyone who has offered me a house to live in, someone who has offered me their spare room. I really appreciate that.

“I just want to dispel all of those concerns about me being homeless. I’m not homeless, not at all. I am living at a beautiful place in Durban, lots of sunshine.”

He captioned his post, “I’m fine, I promise I’m not homeless. Be sure of your sources of information. Don’t compromise your integrity for 15 cheap minutes of fame. To be continued,” he warned.

Earlier, it was reported that Luthuli has not been able to secure any acting roles and currently living in Randburg, Johannesburg.

There are also claims that Luthuli was not paid the R150k owed to him for shooting a drama series named Empty Love, and despite the show not making it onscreen, it is alleged that Luthuli was adamant about getting his money.

He was not the only one as it was reported that some of the cast members quit the show because of payments.
