Actor Luthuli Dlamini allegedly homeless after not securing gigs

LUTHULI DLAMINI: X

Veteran Zimbabwean-born South African actor Luthuli Dlamini has recently been reported homeless, after not being able to get any acting gigs.

In the entertainment industry, actors are always as hot as their last gig, and if you are not getting any work, it means you are not getting any income.

Since COVID-19, many actors and artists have come forward seeking financial help, due to their inability to work their daily/monthly costs. However, this former Generations actor once graced our screens, as he showcased his skills by debuting his rich American-like accent.

According to entertainment publication, ZiMoja, Luthuli has not been able to get any acting roles and currently living in a drug den in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Speaking to the above-mentioned source on the actor’s living situation, a close source said, “He has been staying there for some time; we all know him; all the neighbours recognise him, but no one judges his situation; it can happen to anyone. He lives there with a group of guys, and they respect him”

Earlier this year, The South African reported that the actor was jobless and refusing to vacant the property of one of the TV producers on drama series Empty Love after they owed him money.

It is claimed that Luthuli was never paid the R150k owed to him for shooting the screens, adding that despite the show not making it onscreen, Luthuli was adamant about getting his money.

A close source said, “Producer Mercier Bangala gave Luthuli a lead role in a drama series named Empty Love which was supposed to be shot for one month, but they ended up shooting it for three months. Some of the cast members quit the show because of payments.”
