It appears the controversy surrounding gospel singer Solly Moholo’s death is yet to die down as his daughter has come out guns blazing to respond to internet users who condemned her for a trending video where she is seen splurging on an extravagant shopping spree.

A month after the passing of one of mzansi’s most loved gospel singers, the country was not expecting to see his youngest daughter, Louisa Molokaone trending for spending an excessive amount of money on some retail therapy. This comes after the singer’s family appealed to the public for donations towards his medical bill before his death.

In an emotionally charged rant, Louisa defended herself and her family against critics, shutting down any speculation of the family spending money that was donated for her late father’s hospital bills, or any policy payout as many had speculated.

“I dare you to show me proof of payment of the donation money I ate,” she begins her lengthy post.

According to Louisa, neither she nor her family could have spent any money that was donated by the South African public as only one person donated to the family. Furthermore, she highlights the battles and challenges that the family faced

“It is heartbreaking how you can twist a situation you know nothing about, the fact I had to address this is hurtful. And no it’s no policy money either,” her post reads.

This response left a bitter taste in mzansi internet user’s mouths as many argued that if the family did not receive donations as per Louisa’s comment, and the money she is currently spending is not an insurance payout, then forking out money for the medical bills would not have been an issue for the family.

“All those bags are worth what you guys were asking for in donations. Why didn’t you pay for your father’s hospital bills if you had the money all along? Why ask for handouts?” one user asks.

If it is not policy payout, it means she had the money at hand before to cover the medical bills, but she did not.
