Makeup artists love a good experiment, but what happens when you admit to doing something that doesn’t end up the way you expected?

TikTok creator @nini_blacc known for her makeup tutorials on the app, did the unthinkable when she put a hair relaxer on her eyebrows as a way to laminate them.

Beauty hub, Allure says that brow lamination is known as the easiest way to trim and shape your brows. Unlike using an eyebrow razor this lamination lasts longer and is more effective as the hair doesn’t grow faster than usual.

In the video, the creator adds the hair relaxer on her brows as well as tape so that they can laminate properly.

She also added the caption, “Don’t try this at home kids. This freaking relaxer burnt my skin to a crisp. Safe to say I’m never trying this again. As I shouldn’t have in the beginning.”

Speaking to News24 on the dangers of adding hair relaxers to your face, Dermatologist Dr Nomphelo Gantsho said, “Chemical relaxers are alkaline products and you should not put them near your eyes or on the sensitive skin of your face, so I strongly advise against it.”

She also noted that because hair relaxers have chemicals that should only be used on your scalp they can cause severe damage to your face such as burns or irritation, adding that, sometimes you can get an allergic reaction due to the harsh chemicals making contact with your eyebrows.

@nini_blacc Dont try this at home kids?. … Honestly everything that could go wrong went wrong i mean just look at this horrendous camera quality ??. This freaking relaxer burnt my skin to a crisp.
