Tyla album goes gold in the US

2024 is Tyla’s year, as the award-winning singer and songwriter has donned in many fashion shows and headlined at many events, even winning awards for her hit single, ‘Water.’

According to news publication, IOL, the 22-year-old sold over 500k units of her self-titled album, ‘Tyla’ which came out earlier this year.

Currently sitting under her belt, Tyla has won a Grammy, SAMA, MTV VMA, BET Award, DSTV Content Creator Award Style Award and METRO FM Music Award, with over 61 nominations gained globally from global music award shows.

The US music record company Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) states that to earn a gold record, the artist needs to sell 500k units of records, tapes, or discs worldwide.

She also received a gold record from Sony Music in Brazil for the songs, ‘Truth or Dare’ and ‘Jump’ whilst receiving a diamond record for the global hit single, ‘Water’.

Tyla’s run is INSANE! She released one of the biggest songs of last year, won her first Grammy for it, was one of the best dressed at the MET Gala, performed at the prelude of the Olympics and now is the headliner at the Victoria’s Secret show. I see why bitches mad.
