Mpoomy Ledwaba, a celebrated entrepreneur, podcaster, and wife of musician Brenden Praise Ledwaba, has recently launched her new book titled How Did We Get Here.

In an interview with TRUELOVE, the former BONA Magazine cover star speaks about her journey leading up to her momentous 30th birthday. Mpoomy’s book, How Did We Get Here is a candid reflection on her journey to self-acceptance, particularly as she entered her 30s. She shares her realisation of genuinely liking herself on her 30th birthday, despite the pressures of being an overachiever in the public eye.

Through the book, Mpoomy discusses the sacrifices behind the seemingly glamorous life portrayed on social media and provides an honest look at the challenges she’s faced.

TRUELOVE states that the writing process for Mpoomy’s book, How Did We Get Here, was both rewarding and challenging. Balancing her responsibilities as a businesswoman, she committed to a disciplined schedule, waking up every morning between 5:00 and 6:00 to focus on writing. Mpoomy describes it as an emotional journey, as she delved into personal experiences and shared deeply about herself.
