R450K? Boity sets the record straight on how much she would need as a girlfriend allowance

by Sergio Miller

Reality TV star, Boity Thulo has opened up about her statements that made headlines in 2021, following a claim that R450 000 is what she would require as a girlfriend allowance.

At the time, her statements made several headlines with many criticising her, highlighting that that was way too much money to pay for having her as a partner.

Recently, this has become a topic of conversation once again, after she made her first podcast appearance on L-Tido’s YouTube channel.

In setting the record straight, Boity said that she never said that R450 000 was a compulsory requirement, but that it was merely a hypothetical total she thought of if she had to live in a perfect world.

When L-Lido asked if was one of the pioneers of requesting a girlfriend allowance, she said:

“Oh my gosh! Can we just fix that? If you watch the damn thing with Mihlali, what we were saying was, she asked me, or we asked each other; we were hypothetically speaking, in a perfect world where anything was possible, what would be the best amount?”

She added that the video should have been placed in context.

“I said R450 000. That’s the figure that came to mind and that would make sense for my life.”

Boity Thulo still wants R450k for girlfriend allowance? ??

Users later commented on the matter with one claiming that that was too much.

“Women will always express what they can get away with. Yall do the math,” wrote one user.
