Buntu Petse celebrates her uMembeso ceremony following engagement to her fiance

In celebration of culture and love, Buntu Petse, the talented star of Generations: The Legacy and Netflix movie Miseducation, recently shared a glimpse into her uMembeso ceremony.

She captioned her post saying, “Happy Heritage Day uMembeso edition What a time to be South African.”

The uMembeso is a significant Zulu traditional ceremony that takes place as part of the lobola negotiations, where the groom presents gifts to the bride’s family as a symbol of respect and appreciation.

In her Instagram video, Buntu shared stunning snaps from the ceremony, showcasing the vibrant traditions and the warmth of family and friends who came to witness the ceremony.

BONA previously reported that while the rest of the country was invested in Father’s Day and Youth Day celebrations, the weekend was slightly more memorable for Buntu. The actress tied the knot in a beautiful traditional wedding ceremony.

She shared a clip on Instagram that followed her and her husband, Londa Mavundla, throughout their special day, providing viewers with a closer look at the love they share. The publication further states that the pair got engaged in October 2023, and at the time, Buntu shared snippets of the surprise proposal that captured the hearts of many.
