Following his introduction into the music industry, renowned rapper Sihle Sithole, popularly known as Blxckie has been a force to be reckoned with.
At just 25 years old, he has further gone on to establish himself an international fan base in the US and has previously also been spotted in the studio working alongside award-winning singer Nelly Furtado.
With a work ethic like that, success was destined to be lurking around the corner. Recently, he achieved just that when he received a nomination for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards.

The event is set to take place in Nevada, Las Vegas on the 8th of October, and celebrates rappers, producers, composures, and all those involved in the creative process of some of the world’s biggest hit songs.
Accompanying him is Maglera Doe Boy, both artists were nominated in the category of Best International Flow.
Taking to Instagram he shared the news with his followers, sharing yet another project he had been involved in.

Earlier this year South Africans found themselves in jubilation, after another one of its artists, Makhadzi, won her first-ever BET Award.
With Blxckie keen to do the same, he mentioned that he is especially interested in seeing how his career will evolve after this nomination.
Speaking to news and entertainment publication SowetanLive, he said:
“This nomination is an indication of what I’ve done and how much I can achieve. It’s not every day that one gets such an opportunity, and I hope it opens the gates even further for me.”
“As African artists, I hope we get to be more on international line-ups and get to appeal to more people outside SA – we have to use all our might to push our culture forward,” said the Sneaky singer.
