Bonga Sithole is a name that has recently gained attention, thanks to his compelling journey from the streets to making music once a street kid. Bonga’s life took a remarkable turn when his videos showcasing his command of the English language went viral.

He has done an impressive job of turning his life around emerging from the streets to pursue his passion for hip-hop music.

Bonga has achieved a clean slate, free from any substances that once plagued his life on the streets. This newfound clarity has allowed him to focus entirely on his passion for hip-hop music, which he believes has played a crucial role in saving his life. “Music basically saved my life,” Bonga shared in an interview with ZiMoja. “It helps me to release any stress and express myself.”

His videos, where he spoke fluently in English with motorists or with people on the streets, garnered widespread praise and helped him secure a job as a voice-over artist for FUNDI. Although he eventually left the position and returned to the streets.

According to IOL, After leaving rehab abruptly, Bonga faced accusations of ingratitude towards Sisanda Qwabe-Coutaud, who had helped him off the streets. However, ZiMoja reports that Bonga is no longer living on the streets. “The streets will always be my home; that is where I made a name for myself, but I am not homeless anymore,” he said. The news publication further stated that Bonga also secured a job at Pluxnet, a South African internet and voice service provider.
