Hair maintenance is a heavy task on its own. Dying your hair requires even more attention than you actually think but simple tips from a few experts just might be what you need to keep your looking healthy and beautiful.

Here are tips for taking care of your dyed hair:

Garnier warns against harsh shampoos since they will damage and leave your hair looking dull rather choose a mild shampoo made especially for dyed hair to help keep the colour in place.

The above source suggests adding a deep conditioning treatment into your haircare routine once a week to give your hair more shine and softness.

Loreal Paris states that simply applying a mask for five to ten minutes twice a week can provide an extraordinary amount of restorative nutrients that promote shine and correct damage

The above-mentioned source also states that chlorine and dyed hair are not a perfect match, not only does chlorine quickly fade away the dye, but it can also change your colour. Therefore, prepare your hair and pre-condition it if you’re going to the pool. To create a barrier against chemical damage, apply a layer of conditioner to your hair and twist it up into a bun.

Add a UV filter finishing spray into your morning regimen as UV light from the sun is one of the biggest enemies of vibrant colours, the above source further adds.

Orgario London suggests using either warm or cold water to wash your hair, apply less heat, and choose styling products that hydrate your hair.
