TikTok granny Noweyitala Ndolomane fondly known as Savelelo or Mamntlane on her social media has recently been gifted a new home.

Mamntlane famous for Xhosa phrases like ‘Yebethuna’, was first introduced to us with her video of being shocked to learn about the death of the former President Nelson Mandela in 2024, which was shared by her granddaughter Siyavuya Mkhetho on TikTok with the username @Mamntlane4.

Her fans who were later called abazukulwana (grandchildren) loved her from the videos which were continuously shared by Siyavuya. Noting her old rondavel, abazukulwana raised funds, while sending her money to buy food, warm clothes and a microwave among other things.

Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane alongside Human Settlements MEC Siphokazi Lusithi intervened by building and handing over the keys to the fully furnished house in Kulokhala, Willowvale to a delighted Mamntlane.

TikToker user, with a username @nhasie.manzana proudly shared the events of the day Mamntlane opened her house, captioning her post: “I take pride kesana because I am a fan of uSavelelo and my department delivered.”

Siyavuya also shared a video of Mamntlane denying that she drinks alcohol in front of the premier when she jokingly asked Mamntlane if she would like the premier to buy her favourite drink. Shocked Mamntlane vehemently denied drinking alcohol, and said “Andifuni nobunjani (I don’t want alcohol).”
