With several members of the 2019 and 2023 Springbok Rugby World Cup winning squad having extended their family trees with the arrival of their babies, it seems as though the wedding bells are not too far away for others.
Springbok and Stormers scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies recently asked long-time girlfriend Kelsey Thomas the ever-important question when he went down on one knee to propose to the mother of his child.
The answer to his proposal was a confident yes as the two shared the momentous occasion with the rest of their followers on social media.

It appears that the two have known one another for a number of years prior to taking their relationship to the next level.
Pictures posted on Instagram have shown Kelsey standing by his side since his days playing Varsity Cup rugby where he represented the University of the Western Cape, the Junior levels of Western Province rugby as well as winning his first Rugby World Cup in 2019.

Earlier this year, the pair were one of multiple Springbok couples who became first-time parents after they welcomed their daughter Alyssa Rose.

Following the announcement of their engagement many friends and teammates of Herschel, including Layla Kolbe, Damian Willemse and others took to the comment section wishing them well on their journey together.
The rapid speedster was recently omitted from Rassie Erasmus’ Springbok squad after having recently undergone an operation.
