A woman’s R6K dinner bill with her partner goes viral and sparks reactions from the internet especially with “Ramaphosa’s economy” today.

In the video, the woman shows off a bill from Signature Restaurant and confidently gives it to her partner to pay.

Firstly, some users felt sorry for the man as they commented: “You can’t do that to a man,” the woman responded, saying “Haibo. He is my husband.” Secondly, the internet could not help but react to the price of each item such as x2 750ml Stillwater that went for R180, a chocolate brownie for R220 and a beverage that cost about R2000 to name a few. Lastly, the only item that did not cost the couple anything was only two rolls.

The exact final bill amount was R6790.00, half of it was for food and the other half was for beverages.

While some users could not fathom that the couple spent so much money on dinner, other users believe that if planned correctly and it is once off then going all out is indeed acceptable.

TikTok users took to the comment section:

One user said: “Still water price is crazy business… that’s 6 x 5litre bottles of still water at Checkers.”

Another user commented: “Ah ah ah, not me seeing my salary on the bill.”

Another user asked in disbelief: “Lobster 1500?”

Another user shared: “I just realised that I’m no longer broke. I’m poor!”

Another user said: “R3000 for food is not okay, that’s at least 2 weeks worth of groceries.”
