In remembrance of her late friend and co-music band member, Thembi took to her Instagram page to share a heartfelt tribute to Lebo on her birthday. The post is accompanied by photographs of her and Lebo Mathosa, as well as recent pictures captured on the day of the celebration of Lebo’s birthday with the remaining Boom Shaka members, Junior Sokhela and Theo Nhlengethwa at Darumo, Oskido’s restaurant.

In her caption, Thembi said, “Happy birthday Angel #LeboMathosa. You have always been on our minds and in our hearts a lot lately.

“We talked about you every day and miss you so much. Yesterday was especially tough, but we found comfort in sharing memories with Oskido at Darumo (tagging Oskido and the restaurant) and enjoying your favourite dish, a special chicken chow mein. it’s just not the same without you. We miss you more than words can express. We feel your presence every single time when we are on stage. Thank you for the gift of music,” she noted.
