DJ Fresh set to return to radio

Radio lovers will be happy to hear that legendary radio personality and podcaster DJ Fresh will be returning to radio early next year.

DJ Fresh has previously worked in many radio stations including Metro FM and 5FM. The radio personality who is also one of the greatest deejays in the country was sadly released from his Metro FM duties after using a word that the station wasn’t happy with.

The word doesn’t lead to the station suspending the deejay, afterwards asking him to issue a public apology after two years after joining the family. After refusing to apologise for a word that is not official, the deejay was told to pack up his things and leave.

Speaking to ZiMoja, the deejay who was later fired from 947 explained that while many feel that he was fired for using the word “Msu%#ry” he feels that the main reason they axed him was that he refused to apologise.

“The BCCSA said there was no transgression because the word doesn’t exist. Had they said apologise immediately, I would’ve done that, but you punish me first, and I must come back and say I’m sorry,” disclaimed DJ Fresh.

After Metro FM, the podcaster joined the Radio 947 team and was later fired with his co-host and close friend Euphonik after false allegations of sexual assault surfaced.

The WAW! What a Week online show host seems to be ready to return to the airwaves after taking a break for a few years as he told the publication, “I will be back in April; I can’t say where yet.”
