Blood and Water renewed for thrilling season 5

by Limpho Nonkonyane
Blood and Water trailer

The Parkhurst family will be returning to our screens, as the Netflix drama series Blood & Water gets renewed for its fifth season.

The drama series features a group of high school learners who do not stop at anything to uncover the secrets of the past, and although Puleng (played by Ama Qamata) found her sister Fikile (played by Khosi Ngema) in the previous seasons. The story is far from over.

Earlier this year season 4 premiered which left a lot of internet users feeling like they should have not done the fourth season given that the plot of the series changed entirely. There were many plot holes where the original investigation theme was not followed.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela posted on X (previously known as Twitter) that the series would be coming back resulting in many X users to not hold back their thoughts for the next season.

The new season isn’t even necessary. I couldn’t even finish an episode from the last season.

Hao, Season 4 was so dry. I wonder what angle they’re gonna take for Season 5
