Denise Zimba: More explosive details heard in divorce, custody battle

by Staff Bona

How To Ruin Christmas star Denise Zimba’s explosive affidavit has laid bare the messiness of her marriage to German husband, Jakob Schlichtig. The pair separated in March 2023.

According to Briefly News, Denise took to social media to share that she was now raising her kids as a single parent.

Yo guys! I am going through it!

My friends are going through it. People I know are going through it. People I have met, are going through it. I AM GOING TO IT, TO GO THROUGH IT AND GET THROUGH IT!

— Denise Zimba (@MissDeniseZimba) February 28, 2024

Their divorce and custody battle has played out in the Johannesburg High Court and the issues range from infidelity, and emotional abuse to making Jakob’s cat a priority over support from her mother, according to Sunday World.

The publication stated that Denise alleged that Jakob refused to cover the cost of her mother’s flight from South Africa to Germany to help with their children. Yet, according to Denise, he readily spent money on a veterinarian when his cat fell ill.

The affidavit also sheds light on what Jakob survived.

There was a physical assault in which Denise allegedly threw a box of baby formula at Jakob’s face while he was holding their two-year girl, according to Sunday World.

Fame Frenzy reported recently that the once-happy couple tied the knot on April 10, 2022, at the picturesque Blaauwklippen Vineyards, Stellenbosch, in a lavish wedding ceremony despite getting legally married in January 2020.

Their first girl, Leah Lilli-Rose Schlichtig, was born on July 1, 2019, and their second girl, Mila, was born in August 2023.

Generations: The Legacy actress Demise shared with TimesLive that she was diagnosed with endometriosis and only had a 1% chance of falling pregnant.

She told TimesLive: “I was shocked, and felt less of a woman. I was not eager to fall pregnant, but having a family one day has always been important to me.”
