‘Whatever the outcome we will not have any query,’ – Julius Malema on election results

by Bongiwe Mati

South Africans came out in numbers to take part in this year’s national elections which saw some stations with long queues past 21h00, a set closure time by the IEC.

All those who stood for hours in line to cast their vote managed to do so even past the set time.

EFF’s Chief in Command Julius Malema went into the elections leaving everything in the hands of voters as he felt that his party had done everything it could do to campaign.

Speaking of the EFF’s election campaign and the party’s agents who will be at voting stations when ballot papers are being counted, he said, “All party agents have been trained. We have run a very successful campaign, we have run a clean campaign, we have run a solid campaign.”

He further said, “We are confident that our message resonated with the people of South Africa. We have done everything humanly possible and within limited resources to make sure that the EFF is well-publicised and known amongst our people. There’s no one who comes close to the EFF when it comes to publicity, marketing and mobilisation.”

Julius also noted that no political party outdid them when it came to the election campaign.

Speaking of what defeat will mean for the party, the CIC shared that they will accept the outcome as nothing hindered them from holding successful election campaigns.

“We will accept the willingness of the voice of the people of South Africa, whatever the outcome, we will not have any queries because we campaigned and no one stopped us. We spoke to our people, no one stopped us,” said the freedom fighter.

He concluded by saying that if his party loses that means the people did not receive the message they as a party were trying to send, adding that they might need a bit of time to convince the masses of the EFF’s intentions.
