Doja’s daddy rant continues, ‘Dad diss track coming?’ – Asks users

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini otherwise known as Doja Cat is continuing her social media rant about how she grew up without her father, veteran actor Dumisani Dlamini.

While the Grammy Award winning artist has previously been discreet about her personal life concerning her relationship with her dad, often only explaining that he is an incredible dancer and great actor but that they don’t have much of a relationship, the singer has since been on a war zone, calling him out on social media for abandoning his family.

The first of her social media rants occurred when she updated her biography on the social media platform X.

In the caption of the new bio she wrote:

“My dad is a deadbeat but I did well.”

This received lots of attention, especially given the fact that the Sarafina actor, Dumisani, previously highlighted how he tried to reach out to her with no success.

Meanwhile, recently, Doja shared another post aimed towards her absent father in which she took to Instagram, writing: “Dad, let me know when/if you need me to re-up your makeup cabinet because you are a b*tch.”

Things got even more heated in the comment section after she tagged Dumisani’s Instagram handle and continued: “I got Urban Decay. I got Pat McGrath Labs, I got Fenty, I got Scott Barnes. Let me know. I got your back, sis.”

Following her social media blast many who endured a similar experience of growing up without a father applauded the singer for calling him out.

Others meanwhile felt that Dumisani’s actions were that of a typical “South African man,” who impregnates a woman and runs off.

“One thing about South African men is that they will leave their daughters fatherless. I’m on her side on this one… he deserves the shade chomie,” wrote one user.

Another user thought there is more to the story than what many are seeing asking, “Dad diss track coming when?” to which the singer later acknowledged with a heart reaction.
