Journalist and author Melinda Ferguson has been a trending topic since the news of her book on the Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Anele Tembe’s love story that ended with both of them dead after almost two years apart.

Melinda’s book When Love Kills: The Tragic Tale of AKA and Anele taps into the relationship of the two love birds and the incidents that occurred before Anele allegedly jumped off the high building.

The author recently had a sit down with the Podcast and Chill in an interview conducted by Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady. Speaking to Melinda, the podcaster asked for clarity on her previous statement stating that she does not believe Anele jumped off the 10th floor of the hotel.

Commenting on the statement, he asked: “You did say when we started the conversation that you don’t believe she jumped. What do you believe happened because you’ve dug into the research?”

Melinda quickly responded saying, “I don’t, I think a terrible mistake happened. Personally, I think that things went out of control. I think there had been a lot of using, a lot of drinking, a lot of drugging in the Pepper Club, amongst the party of people who were there.”

Sol asked her if  if her information was from research or just her thoughts, to which the author responded:

“Well, what do you want me to say, someone told me this? Yeah, someone told me, but I am not telling you who.”

He later clarified his question saying that he just wanted to know if this was a thumb-sucked statement or if the came from research?

Melinda responded saying, “No its not thumb-sucked, there was a lot of stuff going down in the Pepper club that night. I think the two of them were fighting a lot.”

A video clip of the interview was shared by user @ThisIsColbert on his social media platform X, formerly know as twitter.
