A Grade R teacher was left emotional after returning to school, only to find that she had been replaced with another teacher by the Department of Education.

As schools re-opened earlier this week, many students and teachers returned to school to start the new term, but unfortunately, things did not go as planned for one teacher.

In the video, the lady is seen crying as she explains what has happened at the school where she has taught for the past 13 years.

Although the reason behind her unfortunate departure is not known, many internet users speculate that it could have been because she was not permanent or she was not qualified to be a teacher.

The lady pleads with the school to take her back as she is the only breadwinner in her family and remains confused as to how she was replaced without her knowledge.

The TikTok news platform News Nexus Official posted this video, pleading with the public to assist the lady.

Many TikTok users not only shared their experiences of being dismissed unfairly but tried to get some clarity on what led to that happening.

One user who seemed knowledgeable on the issue said: “She was never permanent and she was told to complete her diploma to qualify as a teacher.”

Another user stated that most workplaces will want a specific qualification for certain positions where they will give candidates ample time to complete those courses to keep their jobs.

One user commented that people cannot keep their jobs if they do not adhere to the requirements of their employers.
