‘Are you mad, stop asking me about Kabza every day’ – DJ Maphorisa

by Bongiwe Mati

Multi-hitmaker, Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, famously known as DJ Maphorisa is very popular for sharing his opinion on social media platforms.

The amapiano hitmaker from Soshanguve who regularly connects with his fans via live interaction on social media, recently went live on his Instagram, only to be annoyed by an internet user who asked where his partner Kabza De Small was.

Maphorisa and Kabza not only make good music together, but they are also good friends.

While going live he said: “These persons asking me about Kabza as if I’m married to him, Kabza is married, he has a wife. Are you crazy? Don’t you know that he has his own house? Can’t you see he has a house, a studio, must I live with him? Are you mad?”

“Why don’t you go on his Instagram and ask him where he is? Where’s Kabza, where’s Kabza, where’s your mother and grandmother? I thought I was bringing in positive energy and there you are asking me about Kabza as if he doesn’t have a life that he needs to live, he must always be seen with me. You are mad. ”

The screen recording of the Maphorisa’s Instagram live was shared by MDN news, on their X (the app formerly known as Twitter) page.

Nah so much anger. This video has a lil bit of jealousy. I think Kabza is trying to be independent and leave this guy.. he even mentioned Kabza opened his own studio..???

One user defended the Izolo hitmaker, commenting:

He has a point though even if people are a duo it’s just work they can’t always be together and could be irritating to be asked the same question every damn time
