South African rapper and entrepreneur Refiloe Phoolo, professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, recently hinted at potentially releasing a gospel album.

Cassper, who is known for his impact on local hip-hop, could be switching to gospel music. The rapper has been candid about his journey into discovering his spirituality within Christianity. He previously went on the Wisdom and Wellness podcast with Mpoomy Ledwaba where he spoke about his life before embarking on his journey.

He also spoke about how he was very sex-driven and that it was the cause of his break-up with his ex-girlfriend, Thobeka Majozi, who is the mother of his son Khutso.

The rapper responded to a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) saying there was a great possibility that he could release a gospel album and that he was excited about this new journey he was embarking on.

It’s possible man. Trust me, I’m very excited to see what God has in store for me on this new beautiful Journey where I walk with him and learn about his love, his plans , his heart and his will. I know one thing doe, IT’S GONNA BE BETTER THAN ANYONE CAN IMAGINE!!! HALLELUJAH!!! https://t.co/boKWiHayVy

One user shared that the rapper was starting to sound like the controversial Malawian Prophet Bushiri.

Cass, ever since you accepted God, you starting to sound exactly like Bushiri. I wont be surprised if you turn your mansion into a Church??
