Mayibuye Mandela retracts his derogative words to Minister Zizi Kodwa

The great-grandson of tata Nelson Mandela gave the country quite a show belittling high-profile politicians when he recently appeared on the popular Podcast & Chill show hosted by McGyver “MacG” Mukwevho, Solomzi Phenduka and Ghost Lady.

Mayibuye Mandela’s name-dropping and cussing frenzy of the Minister of Sports, Arts & Culture Zizi Kodwa did not go well as he was later ordered to retract his utterances by way of a written statement.

In the podcast, Mayibuye commented.

“You see this boy called Zizi Kow who wears spectacles (I wish I could give him a klap). He runs around like a fool telling someone who belongs to the family what to do with a family matter. He can’t come with the paraffin speed that he took my grandmother Makaziwe to court with, instead of saying, family, can you talk among yourself and solve the issue.”

The apology statement’s subject reads, “Apology for Inappropriate Language Used on Mac G Podcast.”

It was a no-holds-barred interview that shared information that may have been unbeknownst to the public, the statement continued:

“I am writing this letter to sincerely apologise for the inappropriate language I used, during a recent episode of the MacG podcast. Upon reflection, I realise that my choice of words, specifically referring to Minister Zizi Kodwa as a boy, was disrespectful and unacceptable.”

He continued:

“My intention going to MacG Podcast and Chill was to raise funds for the Mandela house, with the hopes to keep the Mandela home within the family, and uphold the legacy for Tata’s children, great-grandchildren and grandchildren.”

He further detailed that no one sent him to say any of the things he shared on the podcast stating:

“I was not sent by any family members and did this of my own free will. It was never my intention to demean or belittle Minister Zizi Kodwa or anyone else. Calling a man a boy is not only disrespectful but perpetuates harmful stereotypes and undermines the dignity of individuals.”
