Headwraps do not get enough appreciation as much as they should. Apart from disguising a bad hair day, they serve a crucial aspect in being a symbol across many cultures and religions while also serving as statement pieces to our outfits. Headwraps went from being crucial pieces in many religions and cultures to being worn by many women and men from across the world on fashion runways.

Headwraps come in a wide selection of various lengths, colours, materials, styles, and many more.  This means they can be catered for many occasions with the ability to be able to rock to both formal and informal events. As the headwrap comes in various styles this means it also caters to be worn in other ways. Allow headwraps to elevate your outfit from a basic fit to a sizzling outfit.

These are some of the styles you can choose to wear your headwrap as provided by entrepreneur and digital content creator Tamia Nontsikelelo.

Topknot style

  • To achieve this style gather the material up neatly and braid as close to your scalp as possible.
  • Avoid braiding all the way possible.
  • Swirl into a circular motion and tuck in the end.

Low bun style

  • Wear you headwrap and cross the bring.
  • After this the one side should be diagonally on the opposite side and vise versa.

  • Tuck in the end pieces for a clean finish.

To acheiev a more volumious look, wear another headwrap underneath to create a bigger bun.
