Plants that you can introduce into your apartment

Have you recently moved into a brand-new apartment, or looking for inspiration to lighten up your current home or working space?

The solution to your problem might be a bit closer than you think – try incorporating more greenery into your environment by introducing plants into your living space.

Having plants in your living space is known to promote several benefits that could produce positive results in your life.

Health and wellness hub, Healthline notes that some of these benefits include relieving stress, boost in creativity, productivity and focus as well as promoting recovery.

However, these benefits often come with certain risks, which is important to take into account ahead of making decisions about which plants to introduce to your home or apartment. The above-mentioned publication states the following:

“It’s important to know which plants are toxic if you have children or pets in the home. If you have asthma or allergies, be alert to species that aggravate your symptoms.”

To assist you in making an informed decision, we have listed five plants that work well in any indoor living space.

Here is the list:

Snake plants are described as being the perfect plant for those who spend a lot of time away from home. These plants are considered fairly independent and only require water every two to eight weeks.

Zachary Smith – certified horticulturist and arborist and founder of Smith’s Pest Management – says that these plants are excellent air filters and are so good at keeping air fresh, that they have been included in NASA’s Clean Air Study.

According to lifestyle publication Rent Café, this is one of the more popular and Instagram and Pinterest famous plants, and are perfect for complementing your décor.

“To keep it happy and healthy, water it every one to two weeks and make sure the soil dries out between waterings. As for light, it prefers bright to medium indirect light, so any sunny spot in your apartment should do the trick,” explains plant expert and CEO of Brightly, Laura Alexander Wittig.
